This guitar was commissioned by an Escondido, CA professional woman as a birthday gift for her husband. They left the specifics up to me, so I selected some beautiful tonewoods that made an instrument anyone would be proud to own.
Pau Ferro has been compared visually to Brazilian Rosewood and tonally falls somewhere between Indian Rosewood and Mahogany. Of course, every piece of wood is unique, and this set created a guitar with amazing volume and bell-like highs. And of course, the bearclaw top just adds to the unique and beautiful appearance.
